Zeiss Vision Care Acquires Stake in Ocumeda, Maker of Tele-Ophthalmology Platform

Zeiss Vision Care announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 10% stake in Ocumeda AG from Fielmann Group for €10 million ($11.75 million), with the option to increase its holding to up to 25%. The transaction places Ocumeda’s valuation at €100 million ($117.5 million).
Ocumeda, tele-ophthalmology platform, provides digital solutions that connect opticians, optometrists, and ophthalmologists, addressing the global shortage of accessible primary eye care.
