VSP Vision Care Acquires iCare Health Solutions

Not-for-profit vision benefits company VSP Vision Care announced it has acquired iCare Health Solutions, an integrated specialty network and administrator of comprehensive ocular care services, from private equity firm Pine Tree Equity Partners.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

iCare Health Solutions’ management team will continue in their roles and the company will operate independently while leveraging VSP Vision Care’s expertise and resources to grow its business.

Founded nearly 40 years ago, iCare Health Solutions specializes in comprehensive eye care management, combining routine eye care, medical eye care, and surgical care. Through partnerships with health plans and multi-specialty clinics, the company serves nearly 3 million members through a network of optometrists and ophthalmologists, including nearly 60 held practices and ambulatory surgical centers throughout Florida.
