Visionix Announces Strategic Partnership with 20/20NOW

Visionix USA announced it has entered a into a strategic alliance with 20/20NOW with the aim of bringing cost-effective, in-office, synchronous tele-optometry eye exams and ocular telemedicine closer to more patients throughout the United States.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“20/20NOW shares the same passion as Visionix in helping eye care professionals (ECPs) grow and scale their business. Together, we will help optometry practices and optical retailers offer comprehensive eye exams at scale. With this strategic move, we can now offer our customers the option to grow through tele-optometry," Matt Vulich, VP National Accounts at Visionix Americas, said in a company news release.

20/20NOW helps eye care practices and optical retailers launch and operate tele-optometric services in over 30 states. This alliance allows Visionix to offer 20/20NOW’s tele-optometry platform with VIsionix’s integrated devices to offer tele-optometry.

Visionix said those who would like to explore an alternative business model now have telehealth experts working, in tandem, to understand state, legal and operational considerations to establish a telehealth-enabled clinic. Combining the strength of these two highly experienced teams, ECPs will be able to launch modern, multi-location opticals and practices that utilize tele-optometry.
