Virtual Vision Health Expands Virtual Eye Platform with New Diagnostic Modules and Multi-Exam Integration

Virtual Vision Health announced a series of upgrades to its Virtual Eye platform—a VR vision testing system designed to deliver immersive, data-driven visual field, progression analysis, and functional eye assessments.
The latest updates introduce new 'Ocular Motility' and 'Cover Testing' modules, multi-exam integration, and expanded language support, all aimed at streamlining clinical workflows while enhancing diagnostic precision and patient engagement.
“These innovations reflect our unwavering commitment to giving doctors the tools they need to screen, test, and monitor patients in ways that are both affordable and accessible,” said Matteo Ziff, CEO of Virtual Vision Health. “By combining precision diagnostics with immersive VR technology, we’re helping eye care providers work smarter while bringing advanced vision care within reach for more patients worldwide.”
With support for 30 languages, the Virtual Eye platform now enables eye care practices to engage more effectively with diverse patient populations. Its expanded Virtual Assistant offers real-time, multilingual voice guidance, ensuring patients clearly understand testing instructions—a critical factor for maintaining accuracy and comfort during examinations. This feature allows clinics to provide an inclusive and accessible experience for non-English-speaking patients while maintaining testing consistency across global practices.
Virtual Vision Health’s new Ocular Motility and Cover Testing modules bring automation, quantitative analysis, and clinical consistency to traditionally manual assessments.
The Ocular Motility module leverages integrated eye-tracking sensors to measure smoothness, range, and coordination of eye movements—detecting subtle irregularities linked to strabismus, nerve dysfunction, or other ocular motor disorders.
The Cover Testing module uses standardized VR targets and high-resolution motion tracking to automate the detection of tropias and phorias, delivering reproducible results with digital precision.
Together, these tools generate comprehensive digital reports that can be compared across visits, improving diagnostic confidence and longitudinal tracking of progression or post-surgical outcomes. The immersive VR interface also enhances patient comfort, turning conventional tests into more intuitive and interactive experiences.
The new multi-exam integration is designed to allow clinicians to conduct consecutive vision tests, including Cover Tests, Ocular Motility, Color Sensitivity, and Pupillography, within a single, uninterrupted session. By eliminating the need for recalibration or device restarts between exams, the multi-exam suite significantly reduces setup and transition times, enabling faster throughput and allowing clinicians to focus on patient care and data interpretation. Patients, in turn, benefit from a more efficient and cohesive testing experience, completing multiple diagnostic evaluations in one sitting.
Showcasing Innovation at the AAO Annual Meeting
Virtual Vision Health will debut these innovations at the upcoming American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Annual Meeting, where attendees can experience live demonstrations of the updated Virtual Eye platform at Booth #1507. Company representatives will be available for in-depth discussions, product walk-throughs, and media interviews.
