Topcon Healthcare Appoints Christian Odaker as Chief Technology Officer

Topcon Healthcare announced the appointment of Christian Odaker, PhD, to the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Dr. Odaker willsupport the company's 'Healthcare from the Eye' initiative, which leverages AI-powered disease detection and management using data from noninvasive retinal imaging.

In his 20-year healthcare and technology career, Dr. Odaker has held senior leadership positions at several global companies. Prior to joining Topcon Healthcare, he served as CTO at Smart Reporting. He also held leadership roles at Heidelberg Engineering and ESI Group.

“Christian's extensive track record of leading engineering teams and establishing strategic partnerships will be paramount as we continue to evolve and grow our digital health platform," Ali Tafreshi, CEO & President, Topcon Healthcare, said in a company news release.

Dr. Odaker will focus on accelerating the development of new applications and software solutions for the Topcon Harmony digital health platform. He will also focus on building strategic alliances that enhance Topcon Healthcare’s platform value, expand market reach, and unlock new growth opportunities.
