Topcon Announces New Executive Appointments

Topcon Healthcare announced the appointment of several new members to the US executive team, as well as the promotion of key employees. 

Effective October 1, 2021, Peter Larsen will become the President of Topcon Medical Systems, succeeding John Fujita, who will be returning to Japan for a new role at Topcon headquarters.

Prior to being named President of Topcon Medical Systems, Mr. Larsen served as the VP of Business Development for Topcon Healthcare. Mr. Larsen came to Topcon from Specsavers Optical Group, where he was a founding partner responsible for introducing the business into Australia and New Zealand. 

To assist in the transition, Topcon has appointed Al Brooks, a 20-year veteran with the company and the President of Topcon Canada, as interim Senior VP of Sales. Mr. Brooks will manage the US, Latin American and Canadian sales teams. In addition, Topcon has hired Greg Wassberg as Senior Director of National Accounts, an area of sales growth for the company over the past few years. 

Topcon is also bolstering its operations division with the promotion of Ali Zendehdel to the position of VP of Operations & Global Customer Care. Mr. Zendehdel will manage all operations’ activities in the organization with a focus on efficiency and cost-effective systems for improved customer care.
