ScienceBased Health Welcomes New Members to Its Optometry Clinical Advisory Panel

ScienceBased Health (SBH) announced the addition of Jaclyn Garlich, OD, FAAO; Jacob Lang, OD, FAAO, Dipl ABO; and Mark Schaeffer, OD to its Optometry Clinical Advisory Panel. ScienceBased Health develops and markets evidence-based nutraceuticals for eye health.
Jaclyn Garlich, OD, FAAO, is the owner of Envision Optometry in Boston and specializes in treating ocular surface disease. She is the editor of Glance, an optometry publication that educates thousands of eye care providers on the latest advances in the profession and she is the co-host of the 'To The Point' podcast, which aims to help eye doctors build their dry eye practices.
Jacob Lang, OD, FAAO, Dipl ABO, is the medical director of dry eye services and director of disease residency programs at Associated Eye Care in Hudson, WI and Stillwater, MN. He specializes in cornea, ocular surface diseases, therapeutic contact lenses and surgical co-management. Dr. Lang currently serves as vice president of the Intrepid Eye Society and is the current chair of the Anterior Segment Section of the American Academy of Optometry. He lectures extensively and is chief editor and an editorial board member for a number of optometric publications.
Mark Schaeffer, OD, serves as clinical excellence captain at MyEyeDr in Birmingham, Alabama, where he practices full-scope optometry. Dr. Schaeffer is a founding member of the Intrepid Eye Society, where he currently serves as industry chair. He writes for multiple journals and regularly lectures on patient care and the optometric industry.
