Oertli Launches New Silicone Application Adapter

Oertli announced it has released a new silicone application that is designed to allow for more user-friendly and efficient surgical preparation.

The Oertli silicone application sets deliver fast injection and extraction of silicone oil, according to a company news release. The universal visco cannula attaches to all gauge sizes and is held manually for maximum performance. The snap lock visco cannula is easily snapped in the 23 G Oertli trocar and provides a reliable connection. The cannulas are designed for maximum performance when used combination with the Oertli Caliburn trocar system, and connect easily to the OS 4 and Faros platforms.

Thanks to the new twist adapter, it’s now possible to connect pre-filled silicone oil syringes made of glass to the silicone application sets and the Oertli surgical platform—eliminating the need to transfer silicone oil.
