Oertli Instrumente Opens ‘Oertli Ophtha Lab’ at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts

Oertli Instrumente AG has created the ‘Oertli Ophtha Lab’ at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, which will be used as a flexible research laboratory for the new Oertli technologies
The research conducted in the lab gives Oertli access to the latest technical developments, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, and robotics, enabling the company to integrate such research into their own development projects, according to Oertli. The Institute of Medical Engineering and its specialized laboratories also create the perfect base for carrying out development, verification and validation projects.
The Ophtha Lab links research and education and provides students from various engineering, medical and biological disciplines with an opportunity to complete their Bachelor and Master studies in an innovative, collaborative, and exciting research laboratory.
The collaboration between Oertli and the HSLU has already yielded several promising optimisations that are currently undergoing testing by Oertli Instrumente AG. It is expected that these innovations can be brought to market in the next 24 months.
