Ocutech Adds 3x and 5.5x Power Options for the Falcon Autofocus Bioptic
The Ocutech Falcon Autofocus Bioptic self-focusing low vision telescope is now available in 3x, 4x and 5.5x powers. Released in late 2018 in its original 4x power, the Falcon Autofocus bioptic is now being prescribed in the US and in 11 foreign countries.
The Falcon’s Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology provides low vision patients with natural, hands-free magnified vision. Where ever the user looks, and as close as 13 inches, the image will be sharp virtually immediately allowing them to see more clearly, according to a company news release.
The crisp, bright, high-contrast Keplerian optics provide a wide 15 degree field of view in the 3x; 12.5 degree in the 4x; and 9.5 degrees in the 5.5x. Using its separate rechargeable battery, the Falcon will operate for eight hours on a single charge. It weighs just 3.2 ounces.
