New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai Opens First Comprehensive Center for Refractive Solutions in New York

The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai (NYEE) has announced the launch of the Center for Refractive Solutions, a facility dedicated to comprehensive vision correction services. Located at 310 East 14th Street in Lower Manhattan, the newly renovated space marks the first center of its kind in New York City and one of only a few in the nation to offer an all-in-one destination for advanced refractive care.
According to NYEE, the center is designed to streamline the patient experience by offering a full suite of services—from evaluation to surgery—in a single location, catering to individuals seeking to reduce or eliminate dependence on glasses and contact lenses through premium cataract and corneal refractive procedures, including LASIK.
“We’re now able to offer our patients more complete and efficient access to premium services, including intraocular lens implants, laser-assisted cataract surgery, and custom LASIK,” Kira Manusis, MD, Director of the Center for Refractive Solutions and Co-Director of Cataract Services at NYEE, said in a news release. “We’ve centralized all the necessary equipment and services to deliver an efficient and thorough evaluation for patients in just one day—no small advantage for individuals who lead busy lives.”
At the heart of the center is a state-of-the-art imaging suite that enables specialists to map and analyze multiple layers of the eye with high precision. This data is used to create highly personalized surgical plans, incorporating lifestyle factors and unique ocular characteristics to achieve optimal visual outcomes.
