Nanodropper Launches 2022 Give the Gift of Vision Campaign to Support Global Access to Eye Care
Nanodropper launched its "2022 Give the Gift of Vision" program, an effort to donate 1,000 Nanodropper adaptors to at-need patients in the United States and its global nonprofit partners—designed to deliver better access to vision-saving care in low resource settings in Africa, Haiti, and elsewhere. The company is asking the community to support its Give the Gift of Vision program by purchasing a $20 Nanodropper bundle to support patients in the United States and nonprofit partners supporting global health efforts.
The Nanodropper Adaptor is designed to be a small solution to a big problem; Most eyedrop bottles waste 80 percent of its contents, and the eye can only absorb about 20-30 percent of a typical, oversized eyedrop. The Nanodropper is an adaptor for eyedrop bottles that reduces the size of a drop to just what the eye can absorb, according to Nanodropper.
“Two of the greatest obstacles to adherence are both price and convenience,” Alan Robin, MD, ophthalmologist and founding member of the American Glaucoma Society, said in a company news release. “The Nanodropper has the potential to minimize both of these impediments.”
Nanodropper’s Give the Gift of Vision program offers the public an opportunity to help those who might face a difficult choice between affording their medications or paying for other necessities, like rent or groceries, and simultaneously promoting better access to eyecare around the world.

Nanodropper’s Give the Gift of Vision program is our way of getting everyone involved so we help those who really need it. We believe money should never come between a patient and their vision!”

Participating in the GTGOV program costs $20 for a 2 Nanodropper Adaptor bundle—this means an at-need individual in the US now has 3 months of their eye-saving medication instead of 1 month, and an individual supported through nonprofit efforts is tripling their access to eye care, according to Nanodropper.
Nanodropper’s nonprofit partners include Unite For Sight, Dean McGee Eye Institute Foundation, Chicago Lighthouse, Focus, Inc., CharityVision, Floating Doctors, and UHI Community Clinic.
Nanodropper offers an open application for any patient who cannot afford a Nanodropper in the U.S. After a simple screening process, they provide adaptors that have been donated by generous community members directly to at-need individuals.
