MST Enters Strategic Partnership with Mani to Distribute Ophthalmic Surgical Blade Portfolio in the US

Microsurgical Technology (MST) announced a strategic partnership with Mani Inc. under which MST will serve as a distributor of Mani’s ophthalmic surgical blade portfolio in the United States. The deal is supported by the establishment of Mani Medical America, the US subsidiary of Mani Inc.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

Under the deal, MST will enter the US ophthalmic custom kit packing market, paired with the Mani product offering, and focus on the lead categories of blades, cannulas and other disposable instrumentation. According to MST, the partnership with Mani Medical America will enhance the accessibility of Mani's product portfolio across the US, providing ophthalmic surgeons with a source for blades. The blades are used for a wide range of ophthalmic procedures, including cataract surgery, corneal surgery, and glaucoma treatments.
