Lumenis Launches Digital Duet 2.0 SLT+YAG Platform
Lumenis has unveiled Digital Duet 2.0, the latest evolution of its digital SLT+YAG platform for glaucoma and posterior capsulotomy treatment. The new system combines advanced imaging, seamless connectivity, and an enhanced user experience.
Developed by Lumenis, the inventor of Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT), Digital Duet 2.0 introduces a redesigned system centered on high-resolution imaging. The new integrated camera supports live viewing, high-quality image capture, and video recording, empowering practitioners with advanced diagnostic, documentation, and communication capabilities.
Clinicians can capture detailed images of various pathologies—including angle structures—track disease progression, and utilize real-time visuals for training and education, enhancing both patient care and professional development. Adjustable brightness and optimized visualization ensure precise and consistent imaging across procedures.
The Digital Duet 2.0 platform combines cutting-edge digital features with Lumenis’s SLT+YAG laser technology. The system includes premium optics, a super-Gaussian beam profile, and SmartV titratable on-axis/off-axis illumination, all contributing to exceptional visualization, energy efficiency, and treatment accuracy.
With network-ready capabilities, Digital Duet 2.0 is designed to simplify clinical workflows through seamless integration with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR). The platform enables secure data exchange and automated reporting, generating customizable clinical summaries that can be easily exported. This automation reduces administrative tasks, enhances data consistency, and facilitates collaboration across vision care networks and institutions.
A new doctor-focused interface features a heads-up display (HUD) and a 15.6-inch full HD touchscreen, consolidating imaging, data, and laser controls into one intuitive workspace. Enhanced anterior and posterior offset options give practitioners the flexibility to tailor procedures, delivering a premium, ergonomic experience that complements modern ophthalmic practices.
