LKC Technologies, Provider of Visual Electroretinography, Acquired by AMETEK
LKC Technologies announced it has been acquired by Ametek, a provider of industrial technology solutions.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
LKC Technologies is the maker of the RETeval Electroretinography (ERG) device, the only handheld, FDA-cleared device for ERG testing on dilated and un-dilated patients. Designed to streamline clinic operations and simplify testing for staff and patients alike, the device is supported by more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and is used in optometry, ophthalmology, and research settings worldwide.
“This acquisition reflects the strength of our business, the impact of our innovation, and the confidence the market has placed in our technology,” said Dina Dubey, Chief Executive Officer of LKC Technologies. “Becoming part of Ametek is a powerful validation of what our customers and partners have already recognized—LKC is building something lasting. We are joining a financially strong, publicly traded global organization that has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange for more than 95 years and that includes Reichert, one of the most respected legacy brands in eye care. This partnership strengthens our ability to invest, innovate, and expand, while maintaining the personalized support and clinical focus our customers have come to expect.”
"We are excited to welcome LKC Technologies to AMETEK," said David A. Zapico, AMETEK Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "LKC Technologies is an excellent strategic fit, providing attractive market expansion opportunities and creating a broader ophthalmic product portfolio. We look forward to leveraging our respective design and engineering capabilities to further advance patient eye healthcare together."
