Lexitas Announces George N. Magrath, MD, MBA Assumes Role of Chief Executive Officer

George N. Magrath, MD, MBA, MS, has been named CEO of Lexitas Pharma Services. Chad Ice will transition from the role as CEO to President with a focus on strategic growth initiatives as well as the expansion of the Lexitas Board of Directors. These changes became effective February 1, 2021.

Prior to joining Lexitas as Chief Medical Officer in 2020, Dr. Magrath held the role of Medical Director at Hovione while simultaneously serving as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Medical University of South Carolina. Earlier in his career, Dr. Magrath obtained an MBA and MS in Applied Economics and served as an equity analyst covering biotech and pharma companies for Edison Investment Research.

Lexitas is an ophthalmic-focused CRO providing services to pharma and biotech clients spanning the spectrum from pre-IND to NDA submission across all anterior and posterior ocular conditions. Lexitas intends to expand service offering to our clients seeking inclusion of global research reach and those in the pre-IND stage. Additionally, the company seeks to provide expertise to clients with broader image reading services and clinical development plan consulting.
