Kian Capital and RF Investment Partners to Launch US VisionMed Partners
Kian Capital Partners and RF Investment Partners, two private investment firms, have announced the launch of US VisionMed Partners, a management services organization (MSO).
US VisionMed Partners aims to elevate optometry practices by offering a unique model focused on medically advanced services. Unlike traditional platforms centered around routine exams and retail eyewear, US VisionMed will focus on complex, medically necessary eye care services, according to a company news release. The platform will serve patients requiring specialized treatment such as diagnostic testing, vision therapy, myopia management, dry eye treatments, and more comprehensive optometric exams.
“We’ve gathered an outstanding group to form this leading-edge, unified MSO for the medically focused optometry space,” CEO Vance Wells said in the news release. “US VisionMed offers a unique opportunity for independent optometrists to practice at the top of their licenses, providing advanced patient care while also reducing costs within the US healthcare system by identifying and treating serious conditions sooner.”
The creation of US VisionMed Partners was made possible through the collaborative investment of Kian Capital and RF Investment Partners, along with Lakewood Healthcare Capital. This collective investment includes contributions from practitioners leading each affiliated practice.
Kian and RF will focus on scaling US VisionMed through strategic acquisitions to expand its footprint in existing markets and penetrate new, complementary regions.
As part of its growth strategy, US VisionMed has added a CFO and COO to its executive team and plans to continue building its leadership capabilities through a combination of internal hires and M&A efforts.
