iOR Partners Appoints Health Care Industry Veteran James R. Williams as New President and CEO

iOR Partners announced that James R. Williams has been appointed to serve as the company’s new President and CEO. Mr. Williams joined iOR as Chief Operating Officer (COO) earlier this year and served on the iOR Board of Directors for 2 years.
Mr. Williams brings over 30 years of experience leading start-up and early-stage national health care delivery models in a variety of specialties and disease specific spaces. Before joining iOR, he was co-founder and CEO of Stella, a national provider of a first-time physiological treatment for PTSD.
“With his extensive background in developing high performance healthcare models that provide economic scale to geographically dispersed delivery settings, Jim has done an excellent job in building an operational structure that is well positioned to support our rapidly growing demand,” Daniel Durrie, MD, Chairman of the Board of iOR Partners, said in a company news release. “As CEO, he will be focused on continued payor development, iOR safety data, and the explosive growth in the industry.”
iOR aims to integrate the clinic and surgery in one location, increasing seniors’ access to timely care, while providing a high level of safety at a lower cost.
“iOR has identified the challenges and perfected the details necessary for establishing an OBS suite that has the same efficacy and safety as any OR but is more cost effective. Everyone wins in this model – the patient, the physician, and the payors,” said Mr. Williams. “I’m excited to take the helm as President and CEO, and I look forward to leading our team as it helps cataract and retina surgeons embrace the opportunities and efficiencies inherent in the OBS model.”
