Heidelberg Engineering Makes Two Senior Appointments to Leadership Team

Heidelberg Engineering announced two senior leadership appointments as part of a strategic reorganization designed to sharpen its focus on innovation and product development. Dr. Stéphanie Magazzeni joined as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) on August 25, 2025, and Dr. Holger Ruchatz assumed the role of Head of Product Management on September 1, 2025.

Dr. Magazzeni brings over 25 years of leadership experience in medical technology with a strong emphasis on ophthalmology and big data. At Carl Zeiss Meditec, she spearheaded global scientific collaborations and played a pivotal role in the launch of landmark ophthalmic products.

Dr. Ruchatz brings more than 20 years of expertise in product management and business development, with leadership roles at Prior Scientific, Vision Ophthalmology Group (now AddVision), and most recently Carl Zeiss Meditec. There, he led the Corneal Refractive Business Unit and helped develop the “Essential Line” of diagnostic instruments.
