First Beyeonics One Augmented Reality Surgical Microscope Installed at Deep Blue Retina

The first Beyeonics One surgical microscope for retinal surgery was installed at Southaven, Mississippi-based Deep Blue Retina. The system will be installed at Desoto Surgery Center, part of the Surgery Partners network. 

The Beyeonics One system offers precision and enhanced visualization for retinal procedures. The technology integrates augmented reality and digital imaging, providing surgeons with control and accuracy, according to Beyeonics.

"This technology allows us to perform complex procedures with greater precision and safety," Jorge Calzada, MD, a retina specialist and founder of Deep Blue Retina, said in a company news release. "Digital visualization opens new possibilities, and we are just beginning to see what the technology can achieve. Our patients will benefit from access to the latest advancements in surgical microscopy."
