DigitalOptometrics has announced the launch of what it is calling the world’s first and most advanced autonomous slitlamp with remote control capabilities at Vision Expo East (VEE) 2025 in Orlando.

In collaboration with SlitLED, DigitalOptometrics will demonstrate the autonomous slitlamp featuring SlitLED’s AutoAquire, RemotePilot, and Multi-Slit views. These features are designed to offer optometrists and eye care professionals the ability to acquire ultra-high resolution, whole-cornea, and anterior segment images with remarkable quality, including detailed views of the conjunctiva and lens, according to DigitalOptometrics. The autonomous slitlamp allows a staff member or remote doctor to capture images and video with the touch of a button, replicating traditional complete anterior segment evaluations while enabling reliable, repeatable results without requiring specialized training.
