BVI Expands IOL Capacity with New Facility in Belgium
BVI has announced the opening of a new facility in Liège, Belgium that increases the company's IOL business capacity. BVI says the facility will unlock new growth opportunities while reinforcing the company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) leadership.
The new facility was designed to optimize delivery and involved a comprehensive process review aimed at increasing yield and efficiency. BVI said it also prioritized environmental considerations and implemented various measures to minimize carbon footprint.
The facility enlarges BVI’s integrated IOL research and development (R&D) and manufacturing capabilities, and the integrated R&D and manufacturing installation aims to promote seamless collaboration, efficient product development and production, and accelerated time to market, according to BVI.
