BVI Announces Collaboration With BeyeOnics Vision

BVI announces a collaboration with Israel-based BeyeOnics Vision, a maker of in head-mounted display, digital data, and imaging processing.

BeyeOnics Vision has been developing BeyeOnics 1, which the company describes as the first and only ophthalmic digital imaging system replacing the optical microscope.

“We believe a potential collaboration would also support BeyeOnics Ophthalmic efforts to streamline BeyeOnics 1 commercialization in US and offer improved visualization, optimized workflow and real-time support to surgeons’ decision-making processes,” BVI stated in a news release. “We are excited to have the potential opportunity to work together and are excited about the opportunity for future innovation with BeyeOnics Ophthalmic.”

Beyeonics-1 is an open and upgradable Digital Visualization System, equipped with an ultra-high-resolution camera. Processed and digitally enhanced images are transferred to high-resolution head-wearable displays for a truly immersive and natural stereoscopic 3D viewing. BeyeOnics-1 gives surgeons a delightful experience with enhanced automation, programming autonomy and more freedom to set-up the OR and adopting a more nature posture. The system supports real-time decision-making process with customizable integration of accessible pre/intra-operative data and connectivity, seamless integration with other devices.
