Beyeonics Vision announced the launch of Beyeonics One with invisible light based on infrared night-vision technology.

Beyeonics One integrates infrared illumination to optimize visualization, improving surgical outcomes and enhancing patient comfort. According to Beyeonics Vision, the integration of infrared technology provides surgeons with clarity and detail, offering enhanced depth of field, tissue definition, and resolution. This advancement allows surgeons to perform even the most complex ophthalmic procedures with greater confidence, ensuring precision and reducing the margin for error.

Traditional systems rely on high-intensity visible light, which can strain the eyes and cause discomfort. By utilizing invisible infrared illumination, Beyeonics One reduces this strain, allowing for a more comfortable surgical experience for patients, according to Beyeonices.

A key feature of Beyeonics One is its ability to penetrate dense cataracts, hemorrhages, and cloudy corneas, providing a clear visual pathway even in difficult cases. This capability reduces the need for adjunct tools like Trypan blue or other dyes, offering both cost savings and streamlined surgical workflows, the company stated in a news release.

“Using Beyeonics One for cataract surgery with minimal coax lighting and primarily infrared is a game changer–I felt like I had x-ray vision," Robert Weinstock, MD, from the Eye Institute of West Florida, said in a company news release. "Patients are more comfortable, and I believe they will experience faster visual recovery.”
