Bausch + Lomb: No Immediate Plans to Go Private

After exploring options to separate from Bausch Health, Bausch + Lomb announced Thursday it decided not to engage in a sale.
“Taking Bausch + Lomb private with a third-party buyer was one of several options being explored to complete a full separation from Bausch Health Companies Inc. After engagement with potential buyers, that process is complete, and will not result in a transaction at this time," B+L stated in news release.
In December, B+L said it was exploring a potential sale in a move to separate from its Canadian parent company. For now, Bausch + Lomb will continue to operate as its own entity, but added in the statement that "full separation remains the goal." Bausch Health will continue to own 88% interest in Bausch + Lomb.
