Automeyes Optical Solutions Receives Patent for its Signature Measurement Technology Benefiting ECP

06/01/2018

Automeyes Optical Solutions has officially received the patent for the technology behind Automeyes, which was approved by the U.S. Patent Office in February of 2018. Automeyes Founder and creator, Kurt Gardner, was able to prove the methodology was unique and sound enough to receive patent protection.

“Automeyes is able to take optical measurements using a single image of the patient, with or without them wearing a frame, that in itself is incredible to me,” Mr. Gardner said in a company news release. “Now that we have obtained the patent, we can go into a full push to fund and commercialize this tool as the next solution for the busy optical practice or retail chain.”

The thinking behind Automeyes is simple – create a convenient and consistent way for ECPs to take measurements using the latest and easy-to-access technology.

“Our goal is to make it easier for ECPs to offer great client service, use tools they already have in their office – like a digital camera, tablet, or smart phone – and improve the accuracy of the measurements,” Mr. Gardner.

Currently, Automeyes has a small client base, and will be working diligently on expanding the market now that it has received patent protections from the U.S. patent office.
