Acuity Pro Launches Acuity Ten Digital Software and System

01/15/2019

The new Acuity Pro Ten digital visual acuity system is built with future-proofing in mind. Written in a new language, the program looks and feels very familiar with user-interface enhancements designed for ease-of-use, according to a company news release. To keep up with Windows updates and the release of new Acuity Pro features, an option is now available to search for Acuity Pro updates.  Acuity Pro for Mac OS is a part of the Version Ten release, and other operating systems will be added in the future.

Acuity Pro Ten also uses a different method of rendering the optotypes, making them appear sharper at the edges. New features include: optotype sizes up to 20/800 – dependent on monitor size, “Patti Pics” pediatric optotypes, and new user interfaces for macro creation and  import/display of photos/videos.

Acuity Pro Ten is downloadable and no longer requires a physical piece of licensing hardware.  This also allows for immediate download and use.

“We have been honored to be a part of the industry for 20 years. Acuity Pro has given approximately one million dollars back to the profession in terms of advertising and trade show fees that allow doctors to have high quality educational experiences at reduced costs,” according to an Acuity Pro news release. “With over 8,000 licenses in use daily in 50 states, 20 countries and the International Space Station, Acuity Pro continues to address the needs of doctors on earth and in space.”

Acuity Pro also features live support weekdays and limited email support evenings and weekends, and the ability to remotely log in to the user’s computer for troubleshooting.

For more information, visit the Acuity Pro booth (#1237) at SECO in New Orleans, or visit www.acuitypro.com.
