Viatris Launches First National Direct to Consumer Campaign for Dry Eye Nasal Spray Tyrvaya

After nearly 2 years of educational programs to introduce Tyrvaya (varenicline solution) Nasal Spray to eye care professionals, the Viatris Eye Care Division announced it is rolling out a nationwide, multi-channel campaign. The new campaign, entitled “It’s Not Another Drop,” is directed to both consumers and eye care professionals, and depicts authentic experiences of patients managing dry eye disease. The campaign aims to makes patients aware of a different treatment option, Tyrvaya, to help motivate them to speak up and talk with their eye care professional.
In October 2021, Oyster Point Pharma received FDA approval for Tyrvaya (varenicline solution) the treatment of the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease. The approval marked the first and only nasal spray approved for the treatment of dry eye disease. In November 2022, Viatris announced a deal to acquire Oyster Point Pharma and establish it own eye care division.
