OcuSciences Secures CE Mark for OcuMet Beacon, Expands European Deployment image

OcuSciences has received CE Mark clearance for its OcuMet Beacon, a diagnostic instrument designed to enhance clinicians’ ability to assess eye health and detect retinal disorders. The CE mark signifies that the OcuMet Beacon meets the health, safety, and environmental protection standards required for commercialization across the European Economic Area (EEA).

The OcuMet Beacon leverages OcuSciences’ proprietary imaging technology to provide clinicians with high-resolution metabolic insights into the retina, aiding in the early detection and monitoring of retinal dystrophies and other leading causes of blindness.

“Securing CE clearance is a major milestone for OcuSciences and reflects our dedication to advancing the standard of care in ophthalmology,” said Kurt Riegger, CEO of OcuSciences. “The growing adoption of our technology by leading ophthalmic clinical centers across Europe highlights its unique value and diagnostic potential to improve disease detection and management, particularly in monitoring treatment efficacy.”

Following the regulatory approval, OcuSciences has deployed OcuMet Beacons across medical and research centers in Germany, England, and Wales. These installations will support both clinical use and research applications, allowing institutions to integrate the OcuMet Beacon into ongoing studies to validate its real-world performance and impact on ocular imaging advancements.
