Jim McGrann Named 2026 Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Award Winner

Prevent Blindness announced that Jim McGrann, president and CEO of Advancing Eyecare, will receive the 2026 Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Award.
The Person of Vision Award honors an individual whose inspired outlook champions healthy vision as essential to a healthy life. A volunteer committee selected Mr. McGrann for his decades-long leadership across the vision industry and his commitment to expanding access to quality eye care.
“Jim McGrann exemplifies service and dedication,” said Jeff Todd, president and CEO of Prevent Blindness. “He is a passionate ambassador for Prevent Blindness and has helped guide our organization through years of growth as we increase our impact on the vision and eye health of those across the country.”
Mr. McGrann brings more than 40 years of business and eye care experience. He began his career in management consulting with Accenture, PwC, and IBM Global Services, and was a partner at Ernst & Young. His leadership roles have included Professional Eye Care Associates of America (PECAA), Percept Corp., Marchon, VSP Global, and VSP Vision Care. He currently serves on the National Vision board of directors and previously served on the boards of Keplr Vision and Ocuco.
Within industry associations and non-profits, Mr. McGrann is Vice Chair of The Vision Council and Chair of the Prevent Blindness Board of Directors (board term concluding November 2025). He has been an active volunteer for Prevent Blindness for many years, contributing to the Finance Committee and multiple event committees, including Swing Fore Sight and prior Person of Vision galas.
The black-tie Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Award gala will take place March 11, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando in Orlando, in conjunction with Vision Expo.
